St Joseph’s RC Primary School prides itself on delivering an ambitious and motivational school curriculum. At now>press>play, we’re equally proud to be helping them achieve this.
Our pink headphones have helped the school deliver engaging lessons across their curriculum, incorporating our immersive Experiences and handy follow-on resources into their planning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

Using now>press>play across the school curriculum
We began to use now>press>play to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum for our children. We wanted the children to have immersive experiences within the topics we taught.
now>press>play has been used across many year groups to enhance our curriculum.
Some of the Experiences we have used include:
now>press>play accommodates many of our planning needs: it can be used as a hook at the start of a topic, as well as during a topic to bring learning to life. Most teachers use interactive Experiences for their class, and some use the follow-on resources to consolidate learning in later lessons. For example, our Year 1 teacher used the Neil Armstrong follow-on Storyboard and Quiz resources in class for their Space topic last half term.
"We are learning about Neil Armstrong. I enjoyed using the headphones, especially the music that is played in between the talking. I can’t wait to use them again."

Using the now>press>play app
The app has been very beneficial for our staff. It makes using now>press>play quick and easy when planning and delivering lessons, as staff can download the resources and email them to themselves.
We also have the app on our children’s iPads, so it is easily accessible for them. The app is very easy to use and has everything we need all in one place.
"The children in my class absolutely love using the headphones. The Experiences have helped the children to improve vocabulary used in lessons, especially topic lessons."

now>press>play’s benefits outside of the school curriculum
We also enjoy using our now>press>play headphones for silent discos at special times of the year — Christmas, party days, etc.
Each week we have a ‘Musician of the Week’. The whole school focuses on a particular artist, and we enjoy listening to their music throughout the week. We use the now>press>play headphones to listen to the music and to dance along.
Some of our musicians have included: Aretha Franklin, 5ive, Bee Gees, Westlife, Stevie Wonder, and Etta James.
"I like using the headphones because it makes me feel like what I am listening to is real! I feel inspired when I use the headphones."

We would highly recommend now>press>play to any schools who are interested in trying it. Our children love it!
