Shang Dynasty

Your farming village on the Yellow River is under threat from the more advanced Shang forces. You’re captured in battle by General Fu Hao and she imprisons you in her palace. When you witness the High Priest stealing her jade jewellery, he commits you to be sacrificed. Will you escape and expose the corrupt priest?

In this Experience, your class will learn about:

• Advances in technology, knowledge and art, e.g. writing, bronze work, jade jewellery, silk weaving
• Military power including the use of chariots and archery–and General Fu Hao, a female general
• Religious practices such as: oracle bones to tell the future, polytheism, and human sacrifice
