There’s a power cut in your town and you need to get the electricity back on to save your cousin on dialysis. You fashion a torch to guide your way to the local power station, which has been closed by protestors. Can you find a solution to suit you and the environment?

In this Experience, your class will learn about:

  • The essential components of a circuit: battery, bulb, conductive wire
  • Ways to increase or decrease the power of a circuit using resistance or batteries
  • The importance of electricity in our daily lives, and different ways to generate it
  • Renewable energy as a sustainable way to generate electricity
