A FREE Science Week Event at Unity Primary

Space Exploration & Forces. A Free Science Week event at Unity Primary Academy

A free event for local Colchester and REAch2 schools.

Tuesday 12th March @ 9.30am to 2.00pm.

Unity Primary Academy, Hickory Avenue, Colchester, Essex CO4 3QJ

We are thrilled to announce we have joined forces with Unity Primary Academy to offer an exclusive FREE morning of science related experiences available to all Colchester and REAch2 schools.

The event will focus on Space Exploration and Forces and we are inviting 4-5 children from Year 4, 5 and 6 to be accompanied by 1 teacher to join us for the morning. Pupils will ideally be either digital leaders, computer monitors/leads, House Captains or from your School Council. If Heads and Deputies are available, we would also love to invite you to come and join us too.

On a school trip to NASA, you are accidentally sent on a space mission to Mars. Will you survive the 300 day journey to the Red Planet?

During the course of the morning the children and teachers will take part in two immersive now>press>play Experiences: Mission to Mars and Forces with each followed by a short discussion around the main themes of Space Exploration. Between these sessions we will have a 15-minute break with snacks and drinks provided.

This is a fantastic opportunity for children from local schools to mix and learn together, for staff to network, to find out more about now>press>play and to start your work off with a bang for Science Week! Follow-on resources for each now>press>play Experience will be provided so you can build upon the day’s learning in class later in the week.

Places are limited so to register an interest for your school or for more information please email cillian@nowpressplay.co.uk.

now>press>play is an immersive audio resource for EYFS, KS1 & KS2.  It extends children’s life experiences, inspires imagination and creative writing, and produces outstanding engagement in even the most reluctant of learners.
