In a now>press Nursery Experience, your children listen to a story while acting it out, become the main part in a whole-class adventure. Our content is aimed squarely at the three prime areas of the Department for Education’s EYFS framework, targeting children’s communication and language, social and emotional development, as well as physical development. The importance of role-play and the imagination for young children’s brains has been understood since the kindergarten was first invented over 200 years ago – and now>press>play supercharges this key foundational skill. 

Our 12 Experiences cover evergreen EYFS themes, including the World Around Us (Seaside, Minibeasts, Transport), Traditional Tales (Jack and the Beanstalk, Goldilocks) - as well as taking children to places that only now>press>play can, like the Dinosaurs! Practitioners will want to repeat the same Experience several times, as children’s understanding and enjoyment deepen, just as with reading a picture book. 

Our rich follow-on resources target oracy and playful creativity. Recap, Create & Play extends the imaginative world of the Experience into your classroom, allowing you to make a whole day of it. After some discussion questions, there’s a host of role-play and drama games, allowing the children to take the narrative in their own direction. Our Art & Design resource ranges from detailed crafts ideas to simple colouring or mark-making. And our hand-illustrated Word Mats bring the story to life visually for the children.
