COVID-19 Policy

September 2020

We will be offering schools our usual warm welcome, but in line with advice from Public Health England and the UK Government we have some new ways of doing things, and we’re paying extra attention to hygiene.

Visits to Schools

  • Prior to visiting the school request the schools protocol for COVID-19
  • Here are some examples of how schools are using now>press>play to support social distancing
  • All schools have the option to book a remote trial to now>press>play
  • Any meetings can be conducted via video conferencing
  • All equipment is fully sanitised
  • We have completed a risk assessment

  • Where possible, on arrival and departure from a school, wash hands for 20 seconds with soap and water
  • If not able to wash hands with soap and water, use an alcohol based sanitiser (must be at least 60% alcohol to be effective) as the next best alternative. Please note that washing your hands with soap and water is considered to be more effective
  • No hand shaking with members of staff or children
  • Follow the school protocol
  • Government guidelines advise face coverings should be worn in indoor spaces

  • All equipment that is used in the school for either demos or trainings must be wiped with sanitising wipes such as Clinell after each use
  • Use 1 wipe per headset
  • Bag any equipment that is used on a visit into a plastic bag and secure the top so that when you return them to your suitcase they do not contaminate any equipment that has already been sanitised
  • When possible quarantine your equipment between demo/training sessions

  • If you develop a high temperature (above 37.8C),  a new continuous cough, a loss of, or change in, your normal sense of taste or smell (anosmia) within the last seven days immediately let the office know and cancel your appointment. Following Government guidelines and self isolate for 7 days
  • Alert the people that you have had close contact within the last 48 hours to let them know you have symptoms of coronavirus COVID-19
  • If you have any of the symptoms above you must stay at home and arrange to have a test to see if you have COVID-19 – go to testing to arrange
  • If a member of your family or person you live with have symptoms of COVID-19 immediately let the office know and cancel any appointments in person and isolate

Hygiene Advice

  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
  • Put used tissues in the bin immediately
  • Wash your hands with soap and water often for 20 seconds – use hand sanitiser if soap and water are not available
  • Try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

Please keep yourself up to date by reading: Guidance for full opening: schools and general COVID advice.

If you start to feel unwell, or become aware that you have had contact with someone that has contracted COVID-19, let the office know immediately.
