We are delighted to announce details of our FREE Online Safety & Anti-Bullying Experience Day for the Leigh, Lowton & Golborne Schools Partnership and North West schools.

This is a fantastic opportunity for children from local schools to mix and learn together, for staff to network and to find out more about now>press>play.

How will the day work?

The event will focus on Online Safety and Anti-Bullying and is open to Year 4, 5 and 6 pupils who must be accompanied by a teacher. Head Teachers and Senior Leaders are very welcome to join too!

Places are limited so we are inviting schools to send up to 4 pupils with a maximum of 12 schools in attendance.

Arrival time is 9:15am for a 9:30pm start.

During the course of the morning pupils will experience two fully immersive now>press>play Experiences, one on Online Safety and one on Bullying.  These Experiences truly bring the issues to life by placing each child at the centre of the action. In our Online Safety Experience, pupils will learn about:

  • The dangers of giving out personal information online
  • The importance of reporting abuse and how to go about it
  • The difference between online and offline friends

This Experience will reinforce the messages about how your school approaches online safety and encourage conversations about using technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.

In our Bullying Experience pupils will:

  • Experience bullying in person and online
  • Deal with peer pressure
  • Become a bully themselves
  • Face the consequences of their actions and attempt to make amends

This Experience will empower pupils to know what to do if they are being bullied and what steps to take if they see someone being bullied. It will also explore the long-term impact bullying can have on friendships, self-esteem as well as emotional and mental health and wellbeing.

Between each session there will be a short break and a now>press>play writing activity.

The session will conclude at 11:30am.
